Was It Even Mine?

What is mine?

What is yours?

Life is a paradox, or so it seems,

At times a simple thing gone awry,

A growing anxiety about the next turn,

The next thing, which is not mine,

which was never mine to begin with.

We come into this world without,

only with things held within,

To travel small distances,

to find what it is,

That complete our heart's deepest yearnings,

That capture the essence,

The momentum which we long to be a part of,

The flow we wish to experience in our life, in our work,

It is found the deeper we move past,

The further we journey.

Do not despair my friend.

It was never yours,

So you have nothing left to lose.

You never did.
